Heading home

It's been a busy 3 hot and humid days in Orlando. Met customers, got to see University of Central Florida from my morning runs, and paid a bunch of freeway tolls from driving around. Glad to be done and heading home! Will be stopping in Salt Lake City before changing planes to head back to the OC. Bye bye Orlando!

While Christine and I were shopping for bathroom remodeling things, I couldn't believe that our girls were all quietly reading together. Guess they got bored of looking at tiles....

We will miss you, Mr. Lau

Sad news. We heard late last night that Mr. Lau (Christine's oldest sister's father-in-law) passed away at the age of 96 due to pneumonia. Our girls had the honor of performing Hula for him at his senior carehome about 3 weeks ago while we were in Hawaii. Farewell Mr. Lau. You will always be in our hearts! We will miss you!

Skippy got comfortable

I woke up early this morning for my 6am run. The sun was not up yet and the house was dark. As I exited my bedroom, I noticed Skippy was not sleeping in his pillow in the corner by our door. Hmmm, where did he go? Before going downstairs, I saw that our girls' bedroom gate was slightly open. Nothing unusual or out of the norm.

I got downstairs and did not see Skippy in his sofa chair either. That's odd, where did he go? He went outside to use the bathroom? Not this early. I looked around the house downstairs some more and never found him. By this time, it was time for me to head out for my run with my running friends. I thought maybe I missed Skippy under the couch or something.

When I got home from my run, Christine had taken this picture. We guessed that overnight, he went into the girls' room and hopped into Kelly's bed. In this picture, Kelly is facing down on her pillow. Skippy seems comfortable. Today is the first day of school for Irvine and our girls are a little nervous. Maybe Skippy sensed their uneasiness and wanted to stay with them? Maybe I am reading into this picture way too much?

What do you think?
